Hello everyone,

This year has been awesome so far, and knowing who I am, I know it’s just a tip of the iceberg.  You can’t be surrounded by awesome people, and listen to God’s word all the time without feeling excited for what God has to offer you. Anyways, I only have a short excerpt today. Today’s post is what Yorubas call “shoki lobe oge.” Now that I’ve typed it, how do I translate without losing its meaning??? Well, it just means it’s short and has a powerful connotation to it. 

I’m a God here on earth. Yes, I said it. I’m sorry if you might have been offended by my declaration, but I know some people understand me. We are replicas of our parents.  Wait, that’s way too broad. We have our parent’s DNA, which means we have a part of our parents in us right?? Although there are some people who do not bear their parent’s name, but they still identify with them. Now, that’s not even as serious as being made in the same exact image as God.
   In my house fellowship,  we’ve recently been discussing how God’s word is almost always likened to water or mirror for you to see a reflection of who we are in God’s word.  In case you missed it, what I’m trying to say is that you look like God. I know I do. And guess what?? God did not just stop at making us in His likeness,  He also gave us power to dominate the earth. Wow!!!!! I really need you to let it sink in right now.
  This is a message for everyone. Especially for ladies like me who are scared of roaches and creeping things. Lol!! Get over that fear. I think this is one of those do as I say not as I do moments  because I’m not sure if I would remain in the same room with you if there’s even a toy roach close to me. Don’t worry, I’m a work in progress. I need to keep reminding myself of Genesis 1:26 so that I would overcome my fear of creeping things.
  So, everyone,  try as much as possible to live the life that God has ordained for you. Never sell yourself short. Remember that everything you need to make it in life is found in the word of God.
